Outpatient Services
Youth Services System offers outpatient services to adolescents primarily, but not limited to the ages of twelve to seventeen. Services are offered throughout Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler Counties.
Outpatient services include the following:
Comprehensive evaluation – A thorough evaluation rendering a five axes diagnosis by a licensed psychologist.
Psychiatric evaluation and management – An evaluation to determine the need for medications related to a mental health condition by a licensed psychiatrist and follow-up management as needed.
Individual and/or family counseling – therapy is provided to either the child or the child and family on a weekly basis.
Supportive counseling – Support services offered weekly for the child and/or family that provide continuity for the therapeutic sessions.
Case management – person assigned to manage the case to provide on-going assessment, treatment planning and evaluation, linkage to the most appropriate resources, and advocacy.
Hope’s Promise - Intensive outpatient program for adolescent substance abuse. Offers up to eight hours per week of therapeutic interventions including individual and group therapy, individual and group supportive counseling, case management, parent education and support, drug screening and transportation.
Bridges – Supportive counseling services offered via Wheeling Park High School and John Marshall High School targeted towards those students identified as a high risk to use/abuse substances.
Referrals to any service should be made through the YSS central referral office at 304-233-9627 or 800- 800- 9818. Central referral is open 24 hours per day.
