The 9th annual Wheeling SleepOut will be Nov. 8, 2019!
Raise awareness and money to house and support local youth ages 17-21 who otherwise would be homeless.
The Wheeling SleepOut was created in 2011 to raise awareness and money to support homeless and displaced youth ages 17-21 served by Youth Services System. YSS has operated a Transitional Living Program for 38 years. It serves youth who have aged out of the foster care system or group homes or who can't live at home because it isn't a safe or healthy place to be.
Since its inception, the SleepOut has had 1,657 participants and volunteers and has raised $309,319 for the YSS Transitional Living Program.
Please join us in our efforts to create better futures for these young people!
The YSS Transitional Living Program recently was featured during an interview with Communications Manager Betsy Bethel-McFarland on Comcast Newsmakers. To watch the 5-minute video, click here.
