Wheeling SleepOut

Wheeling SleepOut Logo

The Wheeling SleepOut was created in 2011 as a new and interactive way to raise awareness and money to support the older youth that Youth Services System has tirelessly served for 42 years. In the last six years, the SleepOut had 1,229 participants and volunteers and has raised over $208,900 for Youth Services System Transitional Living Program.

The 7th Annual Wheeling SleepOut will take place on

November 3, 2017 at the I-470 Fields, Wheeling, WV

Those participating in the SleepOut will be asking friends, co-workers, and family to donate to YSS. Those sleeping out will stay overnight at the I-470 Fields, in a tent (no stakes), in a sleeping bag, or in a cardboard appliance box. Event will take place November 3, 2017—rain or shine. (And it has rained in the past!)

 Registration is now open.

2017 Theme

"Making The Connection"

This theme was designed to reflect that youth who have runaway or are homeless often try to hide their situation. Without connections to the right resources and supports these youth face real risks-ill health, drugs, and exploitation. Our goal is to connect  communities together to help support youth as they navigate their world.
